Fibre Rinse/Beyond Soft as a combing or spinning Milk

In her book “The Spinner’s Book of Fleece” Beth Smith suggests:

UNICORN FIBRE RINSE** as a spinning or combing MILK

Here are her recommendations:  Before combing or spinning, it is a good idea to spritz your fibers with a little combing milk.

Combine 1 part Unicorn Fibre Rinse** with 5 parts water.

It works like a dream and does not go rancid.

This mixture cuts down on static and helps control the fibers, making them easier to comb.

You can add a few drops of the combing milk to the fiber and work it through with your fingers or spray directly on the loaded fiber.

It acts like a conditioner does for human hair.

You only need a small amount to reduce static electricity and help the combs run smoothly through the fiber.

The fibers should not feel wet.

*Note: As a result of using a spinning oil, rather than Unicorn Fibre Rinse**, roving may get sticky.

**Fibre Rinse has a hint of lavender. For a fragrance-free alternative use Unicorn Beyond Soft.
